The Armory

Natasha walked in, feeling sleepy as she always did. She looked around for a weapon that was suitable for her. She had no idea why she was doing this; most newbies were supposd to talk to Chiron anyway. But Natasha didn't feel like talking to Chiron or doing this, she wanted to sleep. She wondered why she hadn't stayed in her warm, cozy bunk with the lullaby-ish music...
Natasha snapped out of it and proceeded to survey the various weapons, yawning.

Meg walks into what she assumed was the armory. She flipped her map upside down, confused why she was here and not the Mess Hall. Oh well, it looked relatively empty.

Natasha noticed another girl walk in. "Hello, I'm Tasha," she said, but it was while she was yawning so it was disoriented. She turned her gaze back to the weapons and wondered which one to pick.

Meg looks around searching for the yawning girl who said something. She hoped that it was directed to her, yet she couldn't be sure. So the daughter of youth made no response. She was here, at camp, to be safe, not socialize.

Natasha sighed. "Tasha," she said slowly. "Daughter of Hypnos." She did not avert her gaze from the volley of weapons and picked up a sword.

Meg assumed that the greeting was directed to her, as of the fact there wasn't any other people in there. "I'm Meg, daughter of Hebe." She says tentatively.

Natasha put down the sword and picked up a bow and arrow. No, she was usually so sleepy she had a bad aim. "My real name's Natasha," she said, wondering if her Jersey accent mangled the words. "I prefer Tasha, though." She yawned.

Meg didn't really know who Hypnos was, but she assumed that it had something to do with sleep. Either that, or Tasha hadn't gotten a Good night's sleep that night. Meg certainly hadn't, but that was her own problem. "My real name's Megan." She says, glad that she had a nickname. Now she could just follow Tasha's conversation.

Tasha picked up a double-edged sword and decided to use it. She placed it inside its sheath and strapped it to her belt. It looked a bit odd, trailing along her leg near the floor. Oh well, at least she could use it anytime she wanted. "Do you have a weapon?"

Meg shook her head. A weapon? Why did she need one? "Not yet." She said very softly. In fact, Tasha might have not bee able to hear her. "Am I supposed to have one?" She asks, a bit louder this time, her tone kind scared. She wasn't very good at lying or acting. It would be hard to believe that she ran away across the country, but it was mostly out of fear.

"Well... I think so. Most of the campers I've seen around carry weapons," Natasha said. "Maybe if you leave camp you need one, because of the monsters."

Meg was aware that there were monsters, but she was kind of hoping that they'd leave her alone like they did in San Fransisco. The mostly targeted Denys, if she could recall correctly. "Should I get one?" She asks, hoping that she'd be able to stay alive here.

Meg wasn't used to having to make decisions, having always someone else to boss her around. She hated making decisions. "Sure." She said, it being the only word she could say with out her voice trembling.

Natasha was confused; everybody usually snapped at her whenever she said something that meant she didn't care. "Okay...?" she mumbled.

Meg didn't quite understand why Tasha was confused, but didn't question it. Tasha would do something and get her a weapon which she would hardly ever use. It would be nice knowing that she was safe, though.

Natasha picked up a throwing knife and threw it at the wall in front of her. It clanged, off-target, on a dagger and zoomed off to embed itself in the opposite wall.

Meg stepped back slightly, a little freaked out by the knife. She decided that she wasn't going to use a knife. It also looked as if Tasha wasn't going to do the work for her she she began to wander around, every so often picking up a sword.

Natasha wished she didn't have such a bad aim. She walked to the wall and dug it out. Then she hung it back where it belonged.

Meg finds a charm bracelet, which she thinks is kind of odd considering that it's and Amory. She puts it around her wrist and starts tapping each charm. Why? She just felt like it.

"That looks intresting," Natasha remarked. "It might be a weapon in disguise. You never know."

It would make sense if it was. Meg nods absentmindedly and continues tapping the pretty charms. Suddenly, as she touches the frog charm, it transforms into a bronze sword with some writing on the blade. "Woah." Was her only response.

Meg swung the former charm bracelet, finding it balanced. She tapped the hilt, and it shrank back into a bracelet. "Cool." She says, putting it around her wrist.

Natasha picked up another throwing knife and flung it at the wall to see if she had a bad aim only when she was so sleepy. It dug itself into the wall, a few inches away from the target, a battleaxe.
